Which is better kumho or yokohama

If it was a car tire I'd go Yokohama but for truck tires you won't go wrong with the Kumho's. When I needed replacements I went with the Kumho's partially by price point and their rep with large truck tires.

I have not read anything really derogatory about Kumho's on the tire websites or on this forum. It appears to be a really good tire for the money.

The only thing I did find out was that the wear might be accelerated due to the weight factor of the As long as they track correctly, do not cause vibration, and can be balanced--i'm good. I'm just torn now whether to go with a street tire or AT just in case I do find time to do some wheeling!

I was going for the Kumho's but they threw me a better deal since the tires were close to me in their Ohio warehouse. I'll let you all know how they work out. Thanks for everyone's feedback and input Bat Masterson said:. Click to expand Unfortunately, I am not close to one of their brick and mortar locations so will need to have my mechanic mount them. If your tire fails for any reason Did'nt buy that yet but I have 30 days to consider the 'opt in'.

I don't think anyone can touch this deal. Joined Aug 17, Messages 4, Location Colorado. Ting said:. I love Discount tires Co. Fast service, and excellent customer service. They do free rotation even if you don't buy tires from them. I was suprised! Do they offer free mounting, and free balance too if you buy tires from them? Nay said:. Nothing is free - mount and balance is in your price. I buy everything from Discount because they are always competitive in pricing, fast, and have great service.

I don't buy tire warranty, though, because in your price is a prorated warranty, and if I get one new tire I really won't be able to run it due to tread depth variances. DanielC4GP 2, posts months. Another vote for the Kumho's from me. Had them on my last car and will be replacing the Michelin's I have on my current car with them. BOF posts months. Never tried them, but have only read good reports about Kumho BOF. Garett 1, posts months. I've got Kumho Ecsta KU31 on my Volvo and they're faultless for the price, I've also got a set of their KW23 winters too and same can been said for them. I've never used Yokohama but again I've heard good things.

AndyT77 1, posts months. I've got some Kumho's on my Focus, i think they are the same model you've been quoted for. I recommend them based on their grip in dry and wet weather. I have Kumhos on my E30 M3. Can't fault them. Had a great hoon on Sunday on lots of 'A' and 'B' roads, very wet and covered in leaves fantastic fun and no problems whatsoever. Yep, fully recommend them. Bought 4 Kumhos new off ebay, got them fitted by a mobile tyre guy and can't fault them at all.

Not sure what size you're buying but worked out at a little over half what you've been quoted, fitted. No experience of the Yokos.

I had some that I managed to put on the rear of 2 different cars and they just went on and on. Sold them on with the second car with plenty of treat still on them. Gripped well and good value for money.
